Chiller Feat. Strawlous

After being told by a lot of you that I have stopped blogging about everyday looks that anyone can easily recreate, I thought of doing look that’s really simple and comfortable and something that anyone can put together. The past few weeks have been super hectic with fashion week and shoots and events. And even though i live in boxer shorts at home, I can’t really blog about that. Plus now with the onset of summer, dressing up is a pain for someone who loves layers. So I wanted to something very very relaxed, something summer appropriate and still stylish. So again I turned to my favorite shirt brand, Strawlous! Now you guys know that I adore this brand and that’s exactly why I have such a hard time picking just one or two.
The Strawlous shirts that I have featured till now have always been unique with some interesting detailing. When I thought of dong a really simple look, I knew I needed something that would still make my outfit stand out and not make it look boring! And I found just the right shirt for that. It’s a simple cobalt blue shirt with a yellow window check pattern. But this this is more like a polo neck shirt since it has just 3 buttons making it really easy to wear. And apart from the 2 front pockets, it has a really cool denim collar and that was my favorite part. I love traces of denim in top wear and this one just does the trick for me. Plus the fabric is very breathable making it and high on comfort, making it my go to style for the summer!
When it came to styling this shirt, I thought of going very casual. Just what you guys had asked me for, an everyday outfits and something that you can recreate very easily. So I teamed up this shirt with a pair of grey shorts. You could even opt for a light wash denim, a tan, a beige, or a white pair of shorts or even go for chinos in these colors if you want a slightly more dressed up look. With this shirt and shorts, I went for a pair of white textured flipflops with a blue base to add a lil pop of color to make the look a bit more fun. Now with a look that’s so simple, I wanted to make it a lil interesting by adding on the right accessories. First, I went for a grey and brown canvas backpack. A pair of brown gradient, classic aviator sunglasses. A blue wrist band and a brown beaded bracelet. And finally a brown leather strap watch.
This is that kinda outfit that you could probably wear to the beach, at a sun downer, when you’re on holiday in the summers, or even while hanging out with your mates. If you want to further dress this look up, go for a pair of white sneakers or a pair of boat shoes or even penny loafers. Add a grey hat, ditch the classic aviators for a pair of reflective ones. And carry a printed bag or even a solid colored leather messenger bag or a duffle bag and that would elevate your style quotient. If you want a dressed down version of this, I’d recommend that you do not dress this down any further, but still if you wish to, ditch the bag and open up the buttons of the shirt.

I hope you that you guys liked this look even though it’s really simple, but it’s high on functionality, plus you can put together a simper out that suits your own sensibility, very easily and efficiently. Also there hardly any room for error, to go wrong with this one, as long as you’re good with color combinations! Also it was really nice of you guys to sort of remind me that the whole point of me starting this blog was to get people to take at least a lil effort while dressing up every day. In case there’s any particular trend or style that you would want me to blog about, do let me know! And don’t forget to go and check out Strawlous’s collections! I have them linked down below!
